I am an engineer by training but more recently am pursuing a career in urban design and advocacy, following a successful six years in local and national politics. I live and work in Limerick City Centre.
I’m proud to come from Limerick; there’s nowhere else I would rather live. I am very excited about our city’s future and believe it has great untapped potential and am working towards its development such that it becomes the best city in Ireland to live in. I believe Limerick, together with Ireland's Midwest Region, can become a fast growing, thriving, diverse and attractive European City Region.

I am a graduate of the University of Limerick (Engineering) and Loughborough University (Renewable Energy Systems Technology) and am currently undertaking a masters degree in Urban Design and Climate Resilience.
In February 2020, I was elected to Dáil Éireann and became the first Green Party TD to represent Limerick City. I chaired the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Environment and Climate Action from September 2020 to November 2024. and was chair of the Green Party Parliamentary Party during this period too. Prior to my election to the Dáil, I was a Green Party councillor representing Limerick North City on Limerick City and County Council. I founded, with others, the Limerick Cycling Campaign and Liveable Limerick and resurrected the local association of An Taisce. I am a member of the Economic Development, Enterprise, Tourism and Planning Strategic Policy Committee of Limerick Council, nominated by Limerick Public Participation Network. My Priorities
1. Housing
To plan for and deliver new housing, across city and county, exceeding Government targets, because we must plan for Limerick as a fast-growing European city-region.

2. Strong Towns & Safe Streets
To make our towns and streets attractive places to live, to shop and to visit by tackling vacancy and dereliction, anti-social behaviour and by investing in maintenance and public realm.

3. Active Citizenship & Community
To support a vibrant arts scene, our sports clubs and our voluntary organisations, and to empower and strengthen the Public Participation Network.

My Priorities
4. Transport Infrastructure
To make our roads easier and safer to navigate for motorists, cyclists, public transport users, wheelchair users and walkers alike. To build a new suburban rail network, deliver key road projects, implement BusConnects, expand and improve walking and cycling infrastructure, and pursue an “every village, every hour” level of bus service.

5. Rural Regeneration
To work with our rural communities to safeguard family farms, protect our natural environment and invest in sustainable tourism.
