The upgrade of the wastewater treatment plant in Nenagh will support the building of 3,000 new homes. This is very good news but it really puts greater urgency on the plan to increase the frequency of train services between Nenagh and Limerick. The All Island Strategic Rail Review (below) proposes an increase from three trains per day to a train "at least every two hours" in both directions on this railway. This rail investment should be brought forward now and completed ahead of the construction of these homes.
